Biography
Originally from Blackpool on the northwest coast of England, I qualified in dentistry at Guy’s Hospital, University of London, in 1976. I moved to Kendrick View Dental Practice in Reading in 1978 and became a partner in 1980. Kendrick View is a long established private practice near the centre of town. There are three partners, four associates, several visiting specialists and a team of hygienists. We have a large patient base and are highly thought of locally. www.kendrickdental.co.uk
As well as general and cosmetic dentistry, over twentyfive years ago I became particularly interested in occlusion and TMD. I was inspired by Roy Higson, Bill Comcowich, John Bassett and trained with IPSO. Many local dentists now refer their TMD cases to me and I see patients from all over the South of England and further afield.
I have become quite well known and respected in local and national dental circles, with memberships including the British Dental Association, Faculty of General Dental Practitioners at Royal College of Surgeons, Newbury Study Group, and the British Society for Occlusal Studies (BSOS) For many years I've been on the committee of BSOS, organising and teaching on the joint IPSO/BSOS Appliances and AOP hands-on courses. In 2018 I retired from general dentistry but continue to treat patients with TMD and Occlusal issues at two different practices as well as lecturing and running courses. I'm proud to be a Life member of AES. I became a Fellow in 2021 and have been every year to Chicago since 2001 except 2014 when a broken pelvis and clavicle stopped me from attending.
